Hallow’s Eve - when love comes home.

Can one night of magic heal his heart?

Blurb:
Twelve months ago, Hal’s world crashed and burned, taking the love of his life with it. He’s waited all year for that one special night when the souls of the departed come home, hoping his candle will summon back one in particular to heal his broken heart. But the forbidden knowledge he’s learned could call something far worse, and put more than his own soul at risk...

My Review
Hal lost his love a year ago. He has sent the last year just trying to get by. Now with Halloween getting close he is putting all his plans into use. He is a warlock and even if it is forbidden he will bring her back if he can. If he is caught he knows he will pay the price but the Circle can't stop him from getting Eve back.

This is a short story but a very enjoyable one. Hal is a warlock but he can't let anyone who isn't magical know. He fell in love with a regular human and when he told her he had to see if she could accept what he is. He never got the chance as she died that night. Now he is doing everything he can to bring her back. He can't go on without her. The story goes back and forth between a year ago and now so you get to see what led up to this Halloween night. You don't get to see a whole lot of Eve just how she acted when he told her his news. I have to say it is a well written short story and I really enjoyed reading it. I would like to see what happens next as the ending did have a good spin that I didn't see coming. If you want a short, quick read that is great for this time of year be sure to try this one.

Hallow's Eve Cover Reveal & Giveaway

Hi everyone! I have the cover reveal for Hallow's Eve today along with and excerpt and giveaway.

First some about the book.

Blurb:
Twelve months ago, Hal’s world crashed and burned, taking the love of his life with it. He’s waited all year for that one special night when the souls of the departed come home, hoping his candle will summon back one in particular to heal his broken heart. Excerpt:
The thud and chink of beer bottles and glasses on the bar announced Dan’s return.
“So?”
Hal shook his head. “Not tonight.”
“Oh, c’mon, man. Just one beer.”
Hal dropped his gaze to the glass he was still drying with a vehemence it didn’t deserve, avoiding his friend’s pleading stare. “Thanks, but I’m not in the mood.”
Dan made an exasperated sound. “Look, I know it’s nearly a year—”
Pain lanced into his chest. “Stop.” He looked up.
A frown creasing his tanned face, Dan glared back, but he shut up.
Hal sucked in a breath. He didn’t want to fight with Dan over this. The guy had stopped Hal’s life completely falling apart after last Halloween. “I know what you’re trying to do,” he murmured, and relief flickered in Dan’s brown eyes. “But I’m not ready to let it go.”
“I’m not saying you should, man. But how about getting back into some social interaction? You can’t spend the rest of your life as a recluse.”
“I won’t.” Hal smiled. Dan had no idea.
“Then come out for a beer.”
“Another time.”
“Tomorrow then. I know you’ve got the Halloween shift off.”
Hal put down the glass he’d abused. “I’m busy.”
“Oh, yeah? Doing what? Trick or treating?” Dan scoffed. “What is it with you and Halloween? You never struck me as religious enough to find it offensive, but you don’t go out and have any fun either. So how come you always take the night off?”
Hal looked around the bar at all the tawdry holiday decorations, and debated how to answer. Maybe Dan thought he was a closet Christian or something. The truth would shock the hell out of him. Especially with what Hal had planned this year. “My...family don’t see it as something to joke about.”
“Oh. Strict Catholic or something?”
“Something like that.” Hal smiled at the thought of his parents taking Holy Communion. But let Dan interpret it any way he liked.

Coming 8th October, Hallow’s Eve will be available in all digital formats from Amazon, B&N, Smashwords, All Romance eBooks, and most digital online retailers.

Restless Blog Tour : Excerpt & Giveaway

Hi everyone! We have a stop on the Restless blog tour today. There is an excerpt from the book and a giveaway for you all!

Blurb:
Welcome to Peaceville, population 2067 and rising...from the grave...

Luke Chester has had enough. He’s the school geek, the girls laugh at him, he’s lost his dead-end job at the pizza place, and in the midst of the world’s messiest divorce his parents don’t even know he exists. An overdose of his mom’s tranquilizers and a stomach full of whiskey should solve all his problems...

But they don’t. Instead, Luke finds himself booted out of the afterlife for not dying a natural death, with nowhere to go but back to his recently vacated corpse and reality. How the hell is he going to pass for one of the living without someone trying to blow his brains out for being one of the undead?

And it just gets worse. He’s got to fight his own desperate craving to consume the living, evade the weird supernatural hunter who’s having a field day with the new undeads rising, and there’s this creepy black shadow following him around. Add to that the distraction of female fellow undead Annabelle burning to avenge her own murder, and clearly there’s no rest for the wicked. Jeez, all he wanted to do was R.I.P.

Excerpt

You gotta be kidding me...Waking up inside a small dark space is a pretty bad experience. Although I didn't wake as such because I wasn't asleep. I just became...aware maybe? The darkness kind of faded away until I can see I'm inside this metal box. Well, as far as I can tell. I tap the wall with one knuckle to check, and the hollow metallic knock proves at least part of my assumption right. So, what is this? I died and got kicked out of the afterlife. As far as I know, coffins ain't made of metal. So at a guess, I'm in the mortuary, and since I'm not laid out on a slab I must have been put away in storage. I've never been stuck in a drawer before, but somehow this fits with how I imagine it would be.
I suppose I should count myself lucky they hadn't started carving me up, and that I'd gone for an overdose rather than throwing myself in front of a truck or out of a window. I'm in damn good condition...for a corpse. Still in one piece as far as I can ascertain, and that ain't easy to determine, let me tell you. You know how an arm or a leg goes after you've sat on it for a while, cutting off the circulation? But before the blood flow starts again and you get pins and needles? That numb heaviness? My whole body is like that. Like every part of me is full of lead.
Also, the not breathing is weird. I take a couple of breaths out of habit, for the familiar feeling of air moving in and out of my chest. After that I don't bother. It takes too much concentration and there are other things I need to focus on. Like, what do I do next, for instance?
So, what, I'm just gonna lie here?

Night Unbound Blog Tour : Review, Dream Cast & Giveaway

Hi everyone! Today we have a stop on the Night Unbound Blog Tour. There is a review of the book, a dream cast and a giveaway for you all!

New York Times and USA Today Best Selling Author, Dianne Duvall, returns with the much-anticipated 5th book in her paranormal romance Immortal Guardians series, NIGHT UNBOUND!

ABOUT THE BOOK:
Title: Night Unbound
Series: Immortal Guardians #5
Author: Dianne Duvall
Format: eBook/Mass Market Paperback, 432 pages
Publication: September 2nd 2014 by Zebra
ISBN: 1420129805
Genre: Paranormal Romance

Blurb:
Dianne Duvall's Immortal Guardians protect humanity from unspeakable horrors--but their hearts are as fragile as any mortal's. . .

For centuries, Lisette d'Alençon has been a warrior against the dark. She fights alongside her brothers and comrades. But when the dreams start coming, she can't bear to confess them to the Immortal Guardians' command. Dreams of a dark-haired man with soft eyes and brutal wounds, a man her heart aches for--and a man she knows has been declared a traitor.

Zach is an exile, a loner. He won't defend himself against false accusations or grovel to those who should have faith in him. But he'll damn sure defend the woman who kept him sane against a plague of super-vamps that seems to have appeared from nowhere. The Guardians will blame him, and that will make Lisette suspect, too. With life, death and eternity on the line, who can they really trust?

My Review
Lisette may be a warrior but she still has desires. Desires she has to keep hid from the other Immortal Guardians. They all think Zach is a traitor but she knows different. She looks beyond the wall he hides behind and sees him for the man he is not what he shows. Zach would do anything to protect Lisette. He is an exhile from everyone but he can't stay away fro her. He doesn't argue or deny the charges and accusations made against him he just takes them in stride. When Lisette shows him how much she cares she opens up feelings he never had before. Now even while hiding he will do whatever it takes to make Lisette his. A new type of super vamps have arrived and it seems like Zach is to blame. He has to either run and leave Lisette behind or stay and prove he didn't do it all the while he is still being hunted down by the Others.

Lisette is tough, a great fighter, friend and person. She still is a woman and seems to want only one man Zach. She knows he is different from her but she trust him.  Zach I have been waiting to see more of. He is sexy, powerful and can be very stubborn. Even while tortured he doesn't reveal secrets or even try to defend his self. He is very protective and can be very caring. I love seeing him open up and learn more about him.

I love this series and couldn't wait to read more about these two. For some reason Lisette has always seemed quiet to me and not really out front like the others. It is nice to see things from her side and what it is like for a female Immortal Guardian. Zach I wanted to know more about since he showed up and took a lollipop from a friend. He seems to always be around but not part of anything. You get to see what he thinks and how he feels. It is amazing to see how much Lisette opens him up. There is tons of action in this book as a group of super vampires is on the loose and they have to figure out where they are coming from and how to stop them. For fans of Seth you also get to see a different side of him as well. There is romance of course in this and love even a very special new member. I look forward to the next book already and I hope Seth gets his story soon and we find out even more about the Others. If you are looking for an excellent paranormal series I suggest this one!

5 out of 5 Stars~Pam

Immortal Guardians Dream Cast
Thank you for joining me!  I’m so excited to be here today, celebrating the upcoming September 2nd release of NIGHT UNBOUND, the fifth book in my Immortal Guardians series.  If you’re new to my series, it features powerful immortal warriors with special gifts who spend their nights hunting and destroying insane vampires who prey upon humans.  But vampires aren’t the only enemy my Immortal Guardians must face.  While they contend with the maddened vampires, even more dangerous foes rise up against them, presenting incredible challenges and threatening their very existence.

When I’m not writing, I work in the local independent film industry.  And, as I help directors cast their feature films, short films, and music video projects, I admit I often imagine casting my own projects . . . namely film versions of my books.  With each book’s release, I rethink my dream cast, adding new characters and tweaking it here and there.  Since my Immortal Guardians group is like one big family, players from previous novels often return in ensuing books.  So I thought I would share with you now the dream cast I’ve concocted for NIGHT UNBOUND:

Chris Hemsworth and Eva Green as
Zach and Lisette d’Alençon
Hero and Heroine of NIGHT UNBOUND

Sam Worthington and Cobie Smulders as
Étienne d’Alençon (Lisette’s brother) and Krysta Linz
Hero and Heroine of DARKNESS RISES, Book 4

Sam Worthington and Jennifer Garner as
Richart d’Alençon (Étienne’s twin) and Jenna McBride,
Hero and Heroine of IN STILL DARKNESS, Book 3.5

Jake Gyllenhaal and Evengeline Lilly as
Sebastien Newcombe and Dr. Melanie Lipton
Hero and Heroine of PHANTOM SHADOWS, Book 3

Johnny Depp and Milla Jovovitch as
Marcus Grayden and Ami (Amiriska)
Hero and Heroine of NIGHT REIGNS, Book 2

Hugh Jackman and Michelle Monaghan as
Sarah Bingham and Roland Warbrook
Hero and Heroine of DARKNESS DAWNS

Alexander Skarsgård and Djimon Hounsou as
Seth and David, the eldest and most powerful Immortal Guardians

Ryan Reynolds and Taye Diggs as
Chris Reordon (Head of the East Coast Division of the human network that aids immortals) and Darnell (David’s Second)

Eliza Dushku and Kellan Lutz as
Tracy (Lisette’s Second) and Sheldon (Richart’s Second)

Chris Evans as Ethan

An awesome cast, don’t you think?  Makes me want to see the books hit the big screen all the more.

A huge thank you to my friends on Facebook for all of your suggestions!

Tethered Blog Tour : Review & Giveaway

Hi everyone! We have a stop on the Tethered Blog Tour today. There is a review of the book and a giveaway for you all.

Blurb:
She can kill with a kiss. But can assassin Tyree also heal one man’s grief, and bring peace to a galaxy threatened by war?

For Tyree of the Su, being an assassin isn’t simply something she was trained for. It’s the sole reason for her existence. A genetically enhanced clone—one of many in Refuge—she’s about to learn her secluded lifestyle, and that of all her kind, is under threat by a race capable of neutralizing their special talents to leave them defenseless.

For Zander D’joren, being a diplomat has not only cost him his appearance, but also the love of his life. Scarred, grieving, he must nonetheless continue in his role as co-delegate to the fearsome Tier-vane or risk a conflict that could only end one way.

Now both of them need to keep each other alive and maintain a perilous deception long enough to renegotiate the treaty with the Tier-vane, or throw their people into a war that could wipe out Terrans and Inc-Su alike. But there’s more at stake than humanity, whether true or modified. Can the love growing between them save them both? Or merely hasten their destruction?

My Review
Being a clone and an assassin is all Tyree knows. It is what she was made for and she isn't used to getting involved with others. Her newest assignment may be her hardest yet. She has just learned a secret about herself and her new assignment is to help Zander make a peace treaty. She has to pretend to be his love who was killed and still protect him. Zander has gave everything for his job and just wants to finish it. Tyree may resemble his late love but she is far from being her. Someone doesn't want their mission to pass and will do anything to stop them. While they grow closer to each other so does someone who will kill to stop them.

Tyree is very smart, tough and knows how to get the job done. She doesn't understand what she begins to feel for Zander. She does everything she can to protect him. She doesn't understand a lot about what a relationship is. Zander is really a shell of a man until Tyree gets him to open his heart again. He is tough and doesn't give up easy.

I liked this book and both characters really don't know for sure what is growing between them. Tyree wonders if Zander sees her or his past love and I'm glad she uses her head and has that thought. Both of them put there selves in danger to save the other even when it is Tyree's job to protect Zander. He still jumps in to help her even when he knows e has to stay alive or much will be lost. I love her ability and it was a neat to read about. I have to say I really didn't see the ending coming. Tyree has a horrible time and I wondered if she would survive. Even tough as she is she has a weakness and it just made her more great. If you like a sci-fi book about fascinating people and different abilities I would recommend this one to you.
